Mr. William David “Bubba” Johnson, Sr., 81, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at his home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 28th, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Johnny Collins officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Johnson was born June 13, 1936, in Lauderdale County, MS. He retired from Taylor Machine Works, where he was a skilled welder. In addition to welding, he was a gifted mechanic and roofer. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda Joy Lee Johnson of Louisville, MS; two daughters, Rosemary (Ronnie) McArthur of Louisville, MS, and Ann (Tommy Lee) Chambers of Sebring, FL; one son, David Johnson, Jr. of Louisville, MS; four sisters, Peggy Boyd of Newton, MS, Patsy Litchfield of Meehan, MS, Mary Alice Johnson of Chunky, MS, and Veronica Hollis of Cuba. AL; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Vernon Johnson; two sisters, Gloria Agent and Verna Kroger; and three brothers, Carrol M. “Sonny” Johnson, Jerry Johnson, and Mike Johnson.
