William "Billy" Herrington

Mr. William Alton “Billy” Herrington, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Transcendent Healthcare of Boonville in Boonville, IN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Monday, June 6th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Heath Hillman officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Herrington was born October 6, 1934, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of Louisville High School, East Central Community College, and received his BS degree in Industrial Management from Mississippi State University. He worked for the Boeing Corp. and the MS State Highway Department. He was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church of Gulfport, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Mable Herrington; his parents, James Henry and Lora G. Herrington; a son-in-law, Thomas J. Hart; a granddaughter, Angela E. Hart; and six brothers, Charles Herrington, Jim Herrington, Max Herrington, Rufus Herrington, Gerald Herrington, and Connice Herrington. He is survived by two sons, William Scott (Shannon) Herrington and Steven Mack (Susan Tate) Ferguson; a daughter, Elizabeth Elaine Hart; a brother, Chester Herrington; two grandchildren, Nola Victoria Herrington and Pamela L. Pique; and a great grandchild, Chase J. Pique.
