Therrell Files

Mr. Therrell Dean Files, 80, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Kosciusko, MS.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 3rd, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 A.M. till 10:30 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be Memorial Park Cemetery.  Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Therrell was born February 14, 1943, in Louisville, MS.  He was a 1961 graduate of Louisville High School, and attended Mississippi State University. He was self-employed as a building contractor, and was a member of First Methodist Church.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Elsie Bane Files.

He is survived by two sons, James (Amy) Files of Madison, MS, and Thomas Files of Louisville; a granddaughter, Greenleigh Elizabeth Files;  a sister, Elaine (Tommie) Jefcoat; a brother, Harold (Barbara) Files of Houston, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
