Taylor Marie Hurt, age 30, of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. Taylor was the daughter of Gary and Luvith Hurt, Del Sanders, and Kay Cameron, born on August 6, 1990 in Hattiesburg, MS. Taylor was a highly revered chef at LaRina restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. She created many of her own recipes and had recently collaborated on a published recipe in ‘Be Nourished’ cookbook. One of her dreams was recently accomplished when she competed on a prominent cooking show that will be aired in the Spring. Taylor is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lamar and Joyce Hurt and Maxine Carr Hurt of Louisville, MS; her grandfather, Jack Cameron; and an uncle, Ran Cameron. She leaves her loving family: parents Gary and Luvith Hurt, Del Sanders, adn Kay Cameron; a sister Vivian Hurt, partner Paige Pirtle, uncle Mickey Hurt and wife Cindy, all of Hattiesburg, MS; cousins Dylan and Alicia Sanders, Luke and Leigh Hurt, Stephanie and Joseph Hollomon, Kristy and Mark Brown, and Matt Hurt; grandmother, Charlotte Cameron; aunts, Kathy Stewart and Jackie Cameron; along with many other extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS, with Reverend Brandiilyne Mangum-Dear officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. at the funeral home. Interment will be immediately following at Ellison Ridge Cemetery.
