Sherry Lynn Holton Russell

Mrs. Sherry Lynn Holton Russell, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 6^th, at Harmony Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Lundy, Rev. Tommy Jones, and Rev. Chris Gully officiating.  Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sherry was born December 27, 1955, in Winston County, MS, to Murry and Darlene Stevenson Holton.  She was a graduate of Nanih Waiya High School, and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.   Sherry was a jewelry maker and made many different types of jewelry over the years.  She was a member of Mississippi Republican Women.  She loved flowers and spent many hours in her yard and flower garden.  She was an animal lover and loved babying her two cats. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Edward Russell; her brother, Johnny Holton; and her nephew, John Collier, III.   

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Russell; and a sister, Reba (Johnny) Collier, both of Louisville.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Andrews, Bobby Haralson, Joseph Haralson, John Stevenson, Luke Price, Barry Mason, Hayden Street, Fred Runnels, Braden Runnels, and Richard Price.
