Roy Green

Mr. LeRoy Percy “Roy” Green, Jr., 81, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at his daughter’s house in Brandon, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 16th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Dr. Heath Hillman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Green was born on July 14, 1938, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of Louisville High School, and received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. He worked for many years as a draftsman at Taylor Machine Works. He was a member of the Army National Guard, and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Mary Belle Green, and a sister, Rebecca Green Baker. Roy is survived by his son, LeRoy "Lee" Percy Green, III, of Brandon; two daughters, Angela Green Wood of Louisville, and Lisa Dawn Green Pyron of Brandon, MS; six grandchildren, James Wood, Ashley Wood Griffin, Cheyenne Pyron, Mia Pyron, Mary Leigh-Ann Green, and Justin Daniel Green; and one great grandchild, Sadie Grace Griffin.
