Mrs. Nelda Watts, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Shayne Martin officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Nelda was born December 23, 1939, in Philadelphia, MS. She was a retired dietician with the cafeteria at Eiland Middle School for many years. Nelda loved quilting, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of The Way Communty Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Watts; two sons, Eddie Dean Watts and Johnny Watts; and her parents, Hattie Lee and George Williamson. She is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Sam) Reed of Noxapater, MS, and Maryetta (Mark) McCully of Louisville; a daughter-in-law, Jeanna Watts of Louisville; a sister, Myrna Sue Shernock of Pennsylvania; a brother, Jray Williamson of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adam Reed, Matthew Reed, Kevin Watts, Dalton Watts, Earl Shaw, and Timothy Bouzigard. Memorials may be made to The Way Community Church.
