Mary Elaine Sanders

February 17, 1942 — March 8, 2024

Mrs. Mary Elaine Kujala Sanders, 82, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Louisville.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Perkinsville Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.    

 

Mary was born February 17, 1942, in Chicago, IL.  She was employed by TRW Industry for many years.  After retiring, Mary enjoyed shopping, baking, and visiting with friends.  She loved giving good advice whether is was taken or not.   She dearly loved her family and spending time with them.   

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Sanders; and her parents, Fay and John Kujala. 

 

She is survived by her daughters, Lindey (Sammy) Hill, Lori (Stefan) Black, both of Louisville, Lesley Robertson of Covington, TX, and Lisa (Nick) Schutz of Mundelein, IL a sister, Joan Brewer of Travers city, Mich; two brothers, John K. Kujala of Mundelein, IL, and James Kujala of Spooner, WI; seven grandchildren, Kendall Kompass (Kyle) , Jillian Schutz, Samantha (Matt) Sanders, Randall Robertson (Codi), Joelie (Matt) Mitchell, Bobby Robertson, and Curry Black and three great grandchildren, Lucas Mitchell, Rowen Robertson, and Conner Sanders.

 

Pallbearers will be Nick Schutz, Sammy Hill, Stefan Black, Randall Robertson, Bobby Robertson, Curry Black, Matt Sanders, and Matt Mitchell.

 

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Fund,  c/o Mitch Sanders, 769 Harold Ming Road, Louisville, MS,  39339.
