Mrs. Mary Frances Little, 88, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, in Petersburg, VA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 8th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Born in Neshoba County, in the Burnside community, on June 10, 1933, Mrs. Little was the daughter of the late Dessie Pope and Drew Johnson. She was a woman of great faith. Her life was filled with happiness, love, and a strong spiritual devotion to Jehovah. She loved gardening, flowers, and crocheting. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Millard Little; her son, James Kendred Little; a granddaughter, Misty Ann Williamson; brothers, Alton Tubby, and Willie Tubby; her sisters, Jewel VanZant, Almer Freshower, and Lonie Johnson. She is survived by four children, Ellen Estes of Louisville, MS, Linda Smith of Rocky Mt., NC, and Brenda Jo (Jeff) Farr of Edwards, MS; and John P. Little of Brandon, MS; a daughter-in-law, Pixie (Kenny) Little of Louisville, MS; her grandchildren, Page Marie Williamson of Louisville, MS, Autumn Lynn (Sean) McLaughlin of Rocky Mt. NC, Jennie Marie (Stephen) Webb of Knightsdale, NC, Grady Lee (Haley) Smith, Jr. of Rocky Mt, NC, Mindy Kay (Joey) Estes of Louisville, MS, Michael Little of Louisville, Jessica Renee Greenwood of Pearl, MS, Melissa Jo Bates of Crystal Springs, MS, Robert (Marisa) Coleman of Brandon, MS, Karlie (JoJo) Luper of Pearl, MS, Garrett Melton of Florence, MS, and Olivia Crosser of Ridgeland; 36 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Noah Massey, Charner Estes, Austin Harris, Brent Little, Chris Little, Jeffrey Little, Jason Little, Michael Little, and Coleman Farr. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
