Kent Roberts

Mr. Henry Kent Roberts, 76, passed away on January 10, 2020, at his home in Louisville.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13th, at 3:00 P.M., at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Kent was born on January 6, 1944, in Louisville, MS.  He was a graduate of Louisville High School, and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.  He retired after many years as a mail carrier with the U. S. Postal Service, and was a member of First Methodist Church.  Kent was well known for his Sunday Morning Gospel program that he hosted for many years on WLSM radio in Louisville.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillian Renea Roberts; and his parents, Dossie and Christine Roberts. He is survived by a daughter, Misty Michelle Roberts of Ofallon, MO; a sister, Genia Roberts Dufour of Sevierville, TN; brothers, Robin Roberts of Louisville, John Larry Roberts of Eustis, FL, and Dossie Steven Roberts of Columbia, MO; and two grandchildren, Gordon Russell (Addie) Butts and Jonathan Ryan (Megan) Butts.
