Mrs. Geneva Kathleen Weeks, 96, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville. Graveside services and interment will be held at Concord Cemetery in Choctaw County, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 13th, with Rev. Jim Garner officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Weeks was born on April 17, 1924, in Winston County, to John Marvin Dempsey and Geneva Garner Dempsey. She was a graduate of Louisville High School, and a member of West Union Presbyterian Church. Kathleen loved to travel, and travelled all over the world. She loved people and never met a stranger. She worked for 15 years as a tour guide at the Grand Canyon. She was a talented artist and was featured on WCBI TV in Columbus, and exhibited her paintings at the Winston County Library. She was a lovely person and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terrell Weeks; and two daughters, Linda Pritchett and Geneva “Terri” Comeaux. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Reichwein of Louisville, and Chris (K.C.) Cantonwine of Ames, IA; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
