June Goodwin

Mrs. Virginia June Goodwin, 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at her home in Madison, MS.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 8th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. D Martin officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Concord Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Goodwin was born January 21, 1939 in Ackerman, MS. She was a homemaker and retired from working in a nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Goodwin; and her parents, Lois and Wilbur B. Carr.   She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Marty) Thibodeaux of Sturgeon Bay, WI; a son, Dale (Sally) Goodwin of Madison, MS; a sister, Ann Martin of Harrison, AR; a brother, Bill Carr of Ackerman, MS; grandchildren, Brandy (Jacob) Green, Samantha Goodwin, Justin Goodwin, Chris Thibodeaux , and Nicholas (Anna) Thibodeaux, and one great grandchild, Peyton Green.Memorials may be made to Concord Cemetery Fund, 5559 Ms. Hwy. 15, Ackerman, Ms 39735
