Mr. John Simmons Myers, 71, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, at his home in Louisville, MS. While growing up, John lived in several areas of Mississippi as his father was involved in several business ventures. John graduated from Terry High School and attended Mississippi State University. He lived for a while in Florida where he became an electrician. He moved back to Louisville in 1985 and opened Myers Electric, which he owned and operated for many years. He was a man of many talents and loved fishing, scuba diving, gardening, mechanics, making inventions, and was an amazing home cook. He was a gifted carpenter and spent his life building many things, even his own home. He was a member of Liberty Universalist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew David and Brownie Hull Myers; and a brother, Andrew Myers. John is survived by his wife, Bonnie McConocha Myers of Louisville; two daughters, Audra (Cory) Rice of Chattanooga, TN, and Livia Myers (Chris Carrubba) of Long Beach, MS; and a grandson, John Everett Rice. Service will be held outside Liberty Universalist Church in Louisville MS on Wednesday, May 20th at 10 AM. Please observe Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
