Jewelene Ray Shumaker

Mrs. Frances Jewelene Shumaker, 92, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, at her home in the Lobutcha community of Winston County. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 11th, at Hinze Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Porter Funeral Home, and at Hinze Baptist Church for 30 minutes prior to the service.   Interment will be in Hinze Cemetery.Mrs. Shumaker was born August 30, 1926, in Winston County, MS, and was a graduate of Lobutcha School. She was a homemaker and a member of Hinze Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vannie E. Shumaker; her parents, Georgia Hinze and Cyrus Leach Ray; and three brothers, Wallace Ray, Hinze Ray, and Cleo Ray. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Stephanie) Shumaker of Mobile, AL, Ronald Ray (Kathy) Shumaker of Deatsville, AL, and Teddy Van (Janette) Shumaker of Bonner Springs, KS; two brothers, Billy Joe Ray and Garland Ray, both of McCool, MS; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hinze Baptist Church.
