Janis Allen

Mrs. Janis Ruth Kemp Allen, 71, passed away on February 7, 2019, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Memorial services will be held at a later date.     Mrs. Allen was born November 4, 1947, in Louisville, MS. She was a freelance abstractor in the oil industry, worked at Georgia Pacific for many years, and owned Serendipity, a children’s clothing store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Allen; her parents, Doris Triplett Kemp and J.V. Kemp; and one brother, James Vivian Kemp.   She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (John) Rukas of Noxapater, MS; one granddaughter, Shelby (Jon Salgado) Payne; and one brother, Evan Kemp of Louisville, MS.   The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Quality Hospice Care, and the staff of Winston Medical Center Nursing Home, for their excellent care and compassion.     To sign the guestbook, please go to www.porterfuneralhome.net.
