Jane Chancellor Palmer

Mrs. Ollie Jane Chancellor Palmer, 86, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at her home in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Palmer was born March 16, 1936, in Louisville, MS. She was a graduate of Louisville High School in 1954. She was a retired bookkeeper for Richton Tie and Timber Co., and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Travis Palmer, Sr.; her parents, William Preston and Lucy Ophelia Chancellor; a grandson, Matthew Permenter; a sister, Mary Beasley; and a brother, Parker Chancellor. She is survived by her son, Noel (Ramona) Palmer of Philadelphia; a daughter, Nancy Diane Palmer of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Parker, Jessica (Jeremy)Swindle, and Jessica (Jamie) Graham; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Swindle, Bryant Swindle, Dylan Swindle, Justin Parker, Noah Parker, and Jamie Graham. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Village.
