Howard Long

Mr. Howard Gregory Long, 66, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Baptist-Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, January 21st, at Porter Funeral Home, with Mr. Kevin Styron officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Howard was born January 25, 1955. He was a graduate of Louisville High School, and was a welder with Taylor Machine Works for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Long; a brother, John Long; a brother-in-law, Matt Conn; and a granddaughter, Haleigh Long. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Johnson Long of Louisville; two sons, Ryan (Sandy) Long and Corey (Paulina) Long, both of Louisville; a daughter, Ramona Long of Louisville; his mother, Elizabeth Gordon of Louisville; two sisters, Cindy Collier and Sherry Conn, both of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Vicky Long of Louisville; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
