Grace Irene Hood

Mrs. Grace Irene Hood, 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at her home in Meridian, MS.   Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 19th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.     Mrs. Hood was born April 26, 1926, in Noxapater, MS. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Hood, Sr.; her parents, Hattie and Shorty Johnson; a grandson, Clayton Wirgau; and numerous brothers and sisters.     She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Wirgau of Meridian, MS; her son, Hugh (Ann) Hood, Jr. of Crestview, FL; one sister, Bobby Jean Moody of Louisville; one granddaughter, Rebecca J.
