Garvis Eugene Eaves

On Friday, January 4, 2019, Garvis Eugene Eaves of Maryville, TN, loving and devoted husband and father passed away at the age of 80. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12th, at 10:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery.  Garvis was born in Louisville, MS, and was retired from Sales management at Bryan Foods in West Point, MS. He was an avid golfer, a faithful Mississippi State University supporter, community volunteer, enjoyed gardening, and Maryville sports. Garvis was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Autence Eaves; and his siblings Dot Nance, Garland Eaves, Barbara Kelley, and Glynda Woodruff. He is survived by his wife Charlsie Eaves: siblings Betty Hatcher and Jimmy Eaves: children Cathy Sedberry (Bill) of Enterprise AL, Chris Eaves (May Bryan) of Hamilton, MS: stepchildren Stacey (Jeff) Handel, Dale (Lori) Montgomery, and Wendy Montgomery all of TN: eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Eaves, Joe Reed, Dale Montgomery, Jeff Handel, Ray Goodwin, and Keith Kirkland.   Honorary pallbearers will be Stewart Eaves and Mark Shaw.
