Mrs. Frances Vaughn Evans, 77, passed away on Thursday, august 27, 2020, at her home in Louisville, MS. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 29th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Dr. Jimmy Porter officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Frances was born on April 27, 1943, in Winona, MS, to Velma and Howard A. Vaughn. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, and was retired as a department manager from Wal-Mart. She had a special love for children, and cared for and loved many in her years as director of the nursery at First Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Martha Lynn Vaughn and Dorothy Welch; and three brothers, Larry Vaughn, Howard Vaughn, and Jessie Wayne Vaughn. Frances is survived by her husband of 55 years, Herbert Evans of Louisville; two daughters, Tracey (Michael) Fulton of Mocksville, NC, and Stephanie (Chris) Cheatham of Philadelphia, MS; a son, Stephen Hope Evans of Dallas, TX; a sister, Faye Wiltshire of Blackhawk, MS; a brother, Paul Vaughn of Madison, MS; 5 grandchildren, Garrett Fulton, Leslie Fulton Early, Cody Cheatham, Casea Cheatham, and Cate Cheatham; and three great grandchildren, Autumn Fulton, Emma Grace Fulton, and Weston Cheatham.
