Mrs. Ellen Black Conn, 75, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Desoto Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, MS. A graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 22nd, at Yellow Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Conn was born October 4, 1944, in Winston County, MS. She was retired as a bus driver and cafeteria worker with Louisville Municipal School District, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Conn; and her parents, Lawrence and Mary Ellen Black. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Richard) Lee and Janette (Bryan) Smith, both of Louisville; a son, David (Stacy) Conn of Macon; a sister, Mary Jane Young of Louisville; a brother, Roy Black of Louisville; and three grandchildren, Allison Lee, Alexander Lee, and Joshua Lee. Pallbearers will be Joshua Lee, Richard Lee, J.C. Lee, Bryan Smith, Eric Hemphill, and Chris Dean. Memorials may be made to the Yellow Creek Cemetery Fund.
