Elizabeth Gordon

Mrs. Georgia Elizabeth “Libby” Gordon, 87, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 10th, at Center Ridge Methodist Cemetery, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Libby was born March 6, 1935, in Laurel, MS. She was a retired seamstress for Angelica Corp. and worked as a CNA at Winston Medical Center. She was a member of Center Ridge Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris “Flash” Gordon; her parents, Gertrude and Clarence William Boggs; two sons, Howard Long and John Long; a son-in-law, Matt Conn; and a great granddaughter, Hailey Long. She is survived by two daughters, Sherrie Conn and Cynthia Collier, both of Louisville; daughters-in-law, Vicky Long and Deborah Long, both of Louisville; step-sons, Don Gordon and Wayne Gordon; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Center Ridge Cemetery Fund.
