Delores Crowson Nichols

Mrs. Delories Crowson Nichols, 88, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 22nd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Murphy officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Nichols was born April 8, 1930, in Winston County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Delories had many talents, including cooking, sewing, and singing at her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Nichols; and her parents, Leona Beatrice Forman and William Randolph Crowson. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Forester of Rockingham, NC, and Frankie L. Patrick of Florence, MS; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; honorary grandchildren, Justin Hillhouse and Morgan Hillhouse Caldecott; and an honorary daughter, Angie Griffin, who took great care of her.
