Mr. Delbert L. Garretson, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 20th, with Rev. Kevin Prisock, Rev. Dewayne Kelsey, and Rev. Floyd Prisock officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Hope Methodist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Delbert was born December 14, 1937, in West Virginia. He was the head of maintenance at the Louisville Brick Company, and a member of Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church. Delbert was an avid fisherman, and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vena Hawley Garretson and William B. Garretson; two sisters, Loretta G. Haynes and Margaret Garretson; and four brothers, Raymond Garretson, Frank Garretson, Ed Garretson, and Melvin Garretson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Culpepper Garretson of Louisville; a son, Charles T. “Tim” (Tammy) Garretson of Louisville; 5 grandchildren, Krista (Shawn) Fulcher, Mark (Jenae) Garretson, Brandon (Alaya) Garretson, John Mark (Kristen) Dickerson, and Linsey (John) Anderson; and 12 great grandchildren, Kayden Fussell, Cash Fulcher, Emma Fulcher, Cade Garretson, Kenzie Garretson, Colt Garretson, Bailey Garretson, Maddie Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Aiden Reed, John Allen Collier, and Jase Anderson. Pallbearers will be Mark Garretson, Brandon Garretson, Shawn Fulcher, John Anderson, John Mark Dickerson, and Jimmy Robertson.
