Deaner McCully Smith

Mrs. Deaner McCully Smith, 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 07, 2018, in Oneonta, AL.   Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 10th, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Patrick officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Mrs. Smith was born August 24, 1926, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Oneonta First Baptist Church and former member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Smith; a son, John Michael Smith; her parents, Davie Mae Metts McCully and Walter Hutson McCully; sisters, Bonnie Kate Dempsey, Callie McCully, Sally Triplett; and brothers, Drewy McCully, Jim McCully, Don McCully, and Bill McCully.   She is survived by a daughter, Teresa (Jerry) Jones of Cleveland, AL; a son, Clark (Holly) Smith of Lavon, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bucky) Martin, Hudson Smith, Hope Smith, Grace Smith, Ava Smith and great grandson Colton Martin.
