Darlene Moody

Mrs. Linda Darlene Moody, 66, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Winston Medical Center. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 14th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Moody was born August 21, 1954, in Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family and her precious grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for all the family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Hammonds; her father, Ed Scott; her step-mother, Jan Scott; a sister, Sheila Kay Graves; and two brothers, Edward Joe Scott and Richard Allen Scott. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Moody of Louisville; two daughters, Heather, (Ryan) Gilmer and Kimberly Moody, both of Louisville; a son David Moody of Louisville; sisters, Kathy Scott of Chicago, IL, and Donna Scott of Memphis, TN; and three grandchildren, Sam Gilmer, Sydney Kate Gilmer, and Wyatt Moody. Pallbearers will be Ryan Gilmer, David Moody, Ryan Korbel, Sam Gilmer, Wyatt Moody, and Don Kinard. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
