Mr. Charles William McMillan, Sr., 80, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Keen and Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McMillan was born November 26, 1937, in Mendenhall, MS. He graduated from Mendenhall High School in 1956, and joined the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he began work as a maintenance supervisor with the Weyerhaeuser Company, and retired in 1994. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Samuel Raymond McMillan. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Johnnye Nell Sullivan McMillan of Louisville; sons, Charlie (Lisa) McMillan and Steven (Brandy) McMillan, and a daughter, Patti (J. J.) Hall, all of Louisville; a brother, Curtis (Kay) McMillan; three sisters, Tina (Elvon) Loomis, Martha (Wendell) McWhorter, and Elizabeth (Jim) Stanton; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sterling McMillan, Isaac McMillan, Jacob McMillan, Sam Hall, Jed Hall, and Braxton Agnew. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
