Mr. Cedell Adam Alexander, Sr., 84, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, at his home in Noxubee County, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 5th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will be in Perkinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Alexander was born February 21, 1934, in Kemper County, MS. He was a television repairman, and a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bealie Idealie Richardson Alexander and Dewey Hopson Alexander; three sisters, Connie Cumberland, Oree Bowman, and Dora Lee McClurg; and three brothers, Muldrow Alexander, Arkel Alexander, and Lindsey Alexander. He is survived by his wife, Shirley McArthur Alexander of Macon, MS; his daughter, Beverly Wray (Ted) of Louisville, MS; his son, Cedell Alexander. Jr. (Julie), of Durham, NC; one sister, Judy Holton of Noxapater, MS; two brothers, Carl Alexander of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Dewey Hopson Alexander, Jr. of Ypsalanti, MI; five grandchildren, Adam Alexander, Shanna Stinehour (Patrick), Micah Alexander, Leslie Holley (Steve), and Sarah Knox (Brian); and 8 great grandchildren, A.J. Alexander, Evan Alexander, Jacob Alexander, Aaron Stinehour, Grace Stinehour, Johnny Holley, Layla Holley, and Lila Knox. Pallbearers will be Steve Holley, Brian Knox, Stanley Alexander, Ferrell Alexander, Danny Alexander, Micah Alexander, Gerald Branum, and Taylor McKay Graham.
