Carolyn P. Palmer

Mrs. Carolyn P. Palmer, 81, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Regency Hospital of Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 3rd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Carolyn was born September 24, 1941, in Seminary, MS. She was retired from Spartus Corp. after 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved gardening, cooking, recipes, and her beloved dog, Meme. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde V. Palmer; her parents, Dave and Lucille Presley Miller; a son, David Palmer; a sister, Sherry Hemphill; and a brother, Homer Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Mike) Kemp of Louisville; a son, Clyde Palmer of Macon; a daughter-in-law, Linda Palmer of Louisville; five grandchildren, Sara Palmer, Josh Palmer, Star Pettie, Trea Gordon, and Tyler Gordon; and eight great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tyler Gordon, Trea Gordon, Chris Hemphill, Dennis Duncan, Randy Fulton, and Ian Pettie. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Palmer, Chris Smith, Krosten Gordon, Kohen Gordon, and Shane Palmer.
