Mrs. Bobbie Ruth Rogers, 92, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Spring Hill, TN, surrounded by her daughters and her sister. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Franklin Smith officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bobbie was born July 2, 1930, in Louisville, MS, to Ellis and Lydia Holdiness. Bobbie was self-employed, owning Bobbie’s Sandwich Shop in Meridian, MS. After selling the sandwich shop, she opened Bobbie’s Babies – a home daycare, where she cared for many, many children over the years. She retired and moved back to her hometown of Louisville, MS in the early 1990’s with her husband, Duane Rogers. Bobbie loved spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Lydia Holdiness, her husband, Odell Duane Rogers; her step-daughters, Gail Rogers Emerson and Peggy Rogers Blevins; three sisters, Valeria (Sis) Humphries, Janie Clark, Vera Hummell; four brothers, Herbert Holdiness, Hubert Holdiness, Clyde Holdiness, and T. W. Holdiness; one granddaughter, Christy Suzanna Yancey; one great granddaughter, Donna Williams, and one great grandson, Gary Spain. She is survived by three daughters, Johnnie Natale of Acworth, GA, Alice Stone (Dennis) of Selma, AL, and Deborah Ethridge of Spring Hill, TN; a brother, Ellis (Arlene) Holdiness of Louisville, MS; a sister, Carolyn Ward of Iuka, MS; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Trujillo, Mike Trujillo, Scott Byrd, Jamie Byrd, Cameron Gilbert, and David Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Byrd, Brent Trujillo, Tyler Houston, and Gary Sanders. Memorials may be made to Indian Springs Assembly of God, 301 Mt. Calvary Road, Louisville, MS, 39339.
