Mrs. Betty Jo Majors Pool, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Noxapater. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Sunrise Cemetery of Noxapater with Bro. Micheal Bishop officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Betty Jo was born February 9, 1943, in Winston County to the late Charlie Jeff and Opal Barnett. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School. She loved to spend time with her dogs, Willow, LuLu, and Peaches. She loved to work in her yard with her flowers. She spent most of her life in Hinds County and Saudi Arabia, then a few years in Longview, Texas before moving back home to Mississippi. She is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents. She is preceded in death by her late husband Hugh Majors and her brother Jerry Barnett. 

Survivors include her husband Scott Pool of Noxapater, two daughters, Lora (Jeffrey) King of Longview, TX, Pam (Allen) Levins of Byhalia, MS, One sister Peggy Barfield of Noxapater, one brother, Wayne (Connie) Barnett of Frostproof, FL, one sister-in-law, Shirley Barnett of Noxapater. Three granddaughters, Tiffany Israel of Longview, TX, Megan (Traveal) Barber of Olive Branch, MS, and Nikki Riley of Olive Branch, MS, one grandson, Timothy King of Michigan. Three great grandchildren, Brayden Erwin, Landen Barber, and Charlee Barber. A host of nieces and nephews. 

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
