Beryl Holton Womble

August 3, 1929 — December 19, 2019

Mrs. Beryl Holton Womble, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the home of her daughters Beverly Parker and Deborah Myers in Houston, Texas with whom she had lived for three and one-half years.  Goodbyes and her funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on December 30th, at Good Hope Baptist Church, with Reverend Jason Gross officiating. Visitation will be at Good Hope Baptist Church after the service in the fellowship hall.  Interment will be in the Good Hope Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. Beryl was born August 3, 1929 to Arona and Willie Holton in Louisville, Mississippi. Beryl and Royce were married December 5, 1945 and at the time of his passing June 16, 2013, they had been married 67 years.  She and Royce both were born and grew up in the area before moving to Memphis, Tennessee, where they lived for 33 years.  When Royce retired in 1987, they moved back to Mississippi where they loved, lived and worked on their farm which Royce named The Low Chaparral. Both were members of Good Hope Baptist Church where Beryl taught primary Sunday School classes. Beryl is survived by her daughters, Beverly Parker and Deborah Myers, her granddaughter Meredith Marie, her husband Christian Christensen, and two great grandchildren, Neil Moeller and Elisabeth Mae Christensen all of Houston, Texas.  She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Scott of Quinlan, Texas. Pall bearers will Rusty Hanna, Andrew Hanna, Ricky Patterson, Chris Moody, Johnny Hatcher and Buddy Fulton   Memorials may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church.
