Mr. Aaron Bennie “Buster” Moody, 89, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 26th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs, Rev. Tommy Davis, Rev. Edward Gatlin, and Rev. Michael Gatlin officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25th, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Southern Methodist Church in Waynesboro, MS and from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Buster was born March 6, 1930, in Winston County, MS. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Sargent, and upon returning home he worked for 42 years as a supervisor for Southern Natural Gas. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Louisville, a Mason and Shriner, and a member of the “Wrinkled Roosters”. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Moody; and his parents, Mary Whitehead Moody and Joseph Clinton Moody. He is survived by his wife, Betty Holder Moody; a daughter, Cindy (Rodney) Whitcomb of Epes, AL; step-daughter, Eileene (Edward) Gatlin of Waynesboro, MS; one step-son, Billy (Kelly) Street of Maine; grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Whitcomb, Christopher (Tanasia) Street, Street, AJ (Meaghan) Gatlin, Nikie (Ethan) Miller, and Michael (Nichole) Gatlin; 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lowery, David Moody, Randy Bouchillon, Mike Bouchillon, AJ Gatlin, Scott Whitcomb, and Wayne Moody. Honorary pallbearers will be Baker Whitcomb and Jackson Whitcomb. Memorials may be made to the Gideons, First Methodist Church of Louisville, or Southern Methodist Church of Waynesboro.
