Wilma E. Sanders

Mrs. Wilma Clark Sanders, 99, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14th, at Evergreen Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Sanders was born April 25, 1911, in Louisville, MS, the daughter of Sallie Bennett and Johnnie C. Clark. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School and attended nursing school at the University of Virginia. She was a homemaker, and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olyn Sanders, and a daughter, Betty Joyce Sanders. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Agent of Louisville, MS, and Jean King of Madison, MS; a sister, Ethel Atkinson of Louisville, MS; a brother, Ernest L. Clark of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Suzanne Agent, Rebecca Phelps, Stephen King, and Nowell Agent; and seven great grandchildren, Ian & Noelle Scroubelos, and Abby, Heidi, Bennett, Maylee, and Sam David Phelps.
