Mr. Billy Joel Triplett, 62, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 3rd, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Triplett was born January 30, 1948, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and East Central Community College. He was self-employed in the trucking business. He was a Shriner and a member of Fist United Methodist church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn “Sweet” Triplett. He is survived by his wife, Lissa Triplett of Louisville; two daughters, Tiffany Triplett Henkel of New York, NY, and Traci Triplett Thoms of Hickory, MS; three sons, Chad Turner of Louisville, B. J. Triplett of Lexington, KY, and Ray Triplett of Louisville; his father, Billy Earl Triplett of Louisville; a sister, Mary Metts of Louisville; and 5 grandchildren, Braxton Thoms, Camden Thoms, Joel Hudson Henkel, Mazie Turner, and Camp Turner. Pallbearers will be Tony Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Jason Miller, Chris Miller, Miller McMinn, and Caleb McMinn. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
