Mr. James Clyde Hamm, 80, died Wednesday, June 16th, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 19th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Simmons officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday at Forest Hill East Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Mr. Hamm was born May 25, 1930, in Louisville, MS, the son of Virgie Mae Reed and William Henry Kirk (Bob) Hamm. He retired in 1996 as a supervisor for Quaker Oat Chemical Co. in Memphis, TN, and moved back to Louisville, MS He was an Army veteran and a faithful member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Johnson Hamm of Louisville; a sister, Diane H. Christiansen of Bartlett, TN; and 10 nieces and nephews.
