Mr. Lawson B. “L. B.” Quinn, 82, died Wednesday, May 19th, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 20th at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Donald Ham, Rev. Wesley Landrum, and Rev. Hubert Yates officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Quinn was born March 25, 1928, in Winston County, the son of Ophelia Reed and David Monroe Quinn. He retired after 37 1/2 years as machine shop foreman with Taylor Machine Works. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances Hamm Quinn of Louisville; two daughters, Vickie (Randy) Hatten of Slidell, LA, and Betty (Wesley) Landrum of Union, MS; a son, Billy (Tanya) J. Quinn of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Jane (Bob) Sherwood of Lake Hafasu City, AZ; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
