Regina "Dina" McKay

Mrs. Regina Jones “Dina” McKay, 93, passed away on Thursday, February 01, 2018, at Winston County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3rd, at Porter Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will be in Liberty Universalist Cemetery. Dina, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was born April 19, 1924, in Louisville, MS. She was a graduate of Bond High School, and the Vicksburg Infirmary Nursing School. She had a long career as a registered nurse, having served as Director of Nursing at Choctaw County Hospital and at Winston Medical Center. She retired from the Winston County Health Department. She and her husband also owned and operated the Country Mart on East Main Street in Louisville for many years. She was a member of Liberty Universalist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt McKay; her parents, Amanda and Wayne Jones; a son, William Rush McKay; and a son-in-law, Don Waldrop. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Waldrop of Louisville, MS; two sons, Danny McKay of Louisville, and Barry McKay of Sugar Land, TX; a sister, Suzanne Jones McKay of Vicksburg, MS; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
