Ann Hemphill Etheridge

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hemphill Etheridge, 85, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, December 29th, at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, with Rev. Danny Cheatham officiating. Interment will be in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Etheridge was born August 8, 1932, in Eupora, MS. She and her husband owned and operated the Winston County Co-op for many years in Louisville, and she was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Etheridge; her parents, Lillie Mae McCain Hemphill and Melvin Hemphill; two sisters, Louise Byram and Jimmie Howard; and one brother, Billy Hemphill. She is survived by her daughter, Beth (Rusty) Mitchell of Louisville; her son, David (Stephanie) Etheridge of Louisville; three grandchildren, Stephen (Jessica) Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, and Brittany Etheridge (Wil) Lipsey; one great grandchild, Henry Carter Mitchell; and one brother, Larry Hemphill of Philadelphia, MS. Pallbearers will be Wil Lipsey, Barry Howard, Marshall Boydstun, Mark Colson, Matt Moehring, and Quinton Stevenson.
