Dean Huntley, Jr.

Mr. William Dean “Little Dean” Huntley Jr, 48, died suddenly at his home on Monday, December 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14th, at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Huntley was born June 18, 1969 in Grenada, MS to William Dean Huntley, Sr. & Joelyn Kemp James. Dean graduated from Winston Academy in 1987, and helped operate Huntley’s Heating & Air Conditioning from the age of 15 until his father’s death, and Dean’s health began to fail. He is survived by his wife, Danelle Howard Huntley; his two sons, William Dean Huntley III and Daniel Howard Huntley; his brothers, William Michael Huntley and Joseph Clark Huntley, Matt James, and Jimmie Dufault; and his mother, Joelyn James & step-father Curtis James. Dean was predeceased by his father, Dean Huntley, Sr.; his parental grandparents, Mary & C.C. Huntley and his maternal grandparents; Joe Kemp & Marilyn Richardson Stewart. Pallbearers will be Casey Sisson, Scott Smith, Cully Hudspeth, Mike Sullivan, Lee Fleming, and Justin Huntley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Huntley, Don Sisson, Jake Holdiness, Mark Reed, James Hall, and Jimbo Clark. Memorials may be made to Campground United Methodist Church.
