Ida Louise Crowell McAdory Cravens was born March 26, 1936 to James Franklin Crowell and Myrtis Arlene Jones Crowell. Dolly died on October 7, 2017 at the North East Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Myrtis, her husband James F. McAdory and her husband Donald E. Cravens. She leaves two brothers, Johnny Crowell and his wife, Claire, and Billy Crowell and his wife, Betty, five loving stepsons whom she claimed as her own, Keith, Mark, Michael, and Paul Cravens, and a stepdaughter, Carol Cravens Swain. She and her late husband Don were blessed with eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and she also had many nieces and nephews, who were very special to her. Dolly leaves many friends, but especially one very special friend, Deanie Luke. These two special ladies and childhood friends were inseparable their entire lives. Dolly always referred to Deanie as the sister she never had. Louise Cravens’ warm, heart-warming smile and her genuine love for others was obvious to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family, her countless friends, and every person who was privileged to know a special lady named Dolly. Pallbearers will be Steve Quinn, Don Starnes, Mike Towne, Jon Richard Crowell, Jason Pugh, Drew Cravens, Craig Swain, and Jon Swain. Memorials may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church.
