Mrs. Rebecca Green Baker, 85, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4th at 10:30 A. M. at Zion Hill Church in Leake County. with Rev. David Cook officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 until service time at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Baker was born on May 28, 1932, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a very active and faithful member of Zion Hill Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milan G. Baker; her parents, Mary Belle and Percy Green; a daughter, Mary Pearson Cannon; a special step-son, Tim Baker; and Clovis Pearson, the father of her children. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Greer of Carthage, MS; two sons, Percy (Joyce) Pearson of Decatur, MS, and Charlie (Kathie) Pearson of Jackson; son-in-law, Tim Cannon; a brother, Roy Green of Louisville; step-children, Terri Meyers of Tonto Verdi, AZ, Larry Baker of Amarillo, TX, Todd Baker of LaGrange, TX, and Kevan Baker of San Antonio, TX; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be P. J. Pearson, Steve Pearson, Will Pearson, Chris Pearson, Nick Pearson, and Cody Greer.
