Dot Miller

Mrs. Dorothy Ann “Dot” Miller, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Louisville, MS on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Dowd officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dot was born March 19, 1929, in Winston County, MS. She was a graduate of Ford High School, was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Guy “Bo” Miller; her parents, John Swinton and Margaret Dempsey; four sisters, Annie Lou “Dude” McGahey, Emmajean Prisock, Ruby Lee Prisock, and Nannie Blair; and a brother, James Dempsey. Dot is survived by two daughters, Ann Fillingim and Carol Hemphill, both of Louisville; two grandchildren, Brian Fillingim and Kelly Hemphill Haynes; and one great grandchild, Branson Haynes.
