Judye Carol Bateman

Ms. Judye Carol Bateman, 68, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her home in the Nanih Waiya community. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 11th, at Vernon Assembly of God, with Rev. Eugene Duran and Rev. Gerald Branum officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and Friday from 12:00 P.M. until the service time at the church. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Judye was born December 30, 1948, in Winston County, MS. She was a graduate of Nanih Waiya High School, and an Occupancy Specialist at Louisville Housing Authority. She was a member of Vernon Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her father, James Paul Bateman. She is survived by her daughter, Angie Hathorn; her mother, Marion Robertson Bateman, both of Louisville; and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Ty Higginbotham, Charner Estes, Manley Peterson, Chanley McDaniel, Zach Hanna, Lane Hanna, Chandlor Swearingen, and Tanner Covington.
