Edgar "Ed" Swain

Mr. Edgar Lamar “Ed” Swain, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Tuesday, July 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Pastor Travis Byars officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Swain was born February 25, 1944, in Rayville, LA. Ed was the long time owner of Swain Printing in Louisville. He was member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Clayborne Eugene Swain; and a brother, Carl Swain. Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Kea Swain; a daughter, Eva Sullivan and her husband, Pat; four sisters, Lucy Pettit, Inez Smithey, Glenda Cox, and Marlene Harrell; three brothers, Tommy Swain, Rodney Swain, and Benny Swain; and two grandchildren, Clark Sullivan and Kayla-Kea Duran. Pallbearers will be Dylan Tabor, Daniel Halfacre, Drew Fulcher, Christian Fulcher, Austin Linch, Hunter Sanders, Hunter Shafer, and Clayton Rigdon.
