Jo Evelyn Fox

Mrs. Jo Evelyn Fox, 88, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Noxapater, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 25th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Fox was born August 9, 1928, in Louisville, MS, to Katherine Gay Ezell and Joe Brooks Ezell. She graduated with honors from Louisville Public Schools and Mississippi University for Women. She was a school teacher for many years for the Louisville Public School System, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Wednesday afternoon bridge club for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel O. Fox, Sr.; her son, Daniel O. Fox, Jr.; and two sisters, Laura Sue Lofton and Charlotte Salter. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Fox of Jackson, MS; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bo Denton, Jed McCoy, Drew Smith, Craig Foster, John Stevens, and Giles Ward.
