Miss Elsie Foster, 84, died January 1, 2017, in Waco, Georgia, where she had been living. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Elsie was born July 12, 1932 to Birdie and R. A. Foster, who owned Foster’s Department Store for many years in Louisville. Elsie was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She often performed solos on Sunday nights, and she was also a gifted pianist. Elsie was a member of the J. E. Calloway Bible Study Sunday School Class, where Christmas was never complete until Elsie recited, from memory, the entire Christmas story from the Bible. Elsie was a sweet, sweet child, always had a smile, and is remembered fondly by her friends and members of First United Methodist Church. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Elton Foster. She is survived by a nephew, Eddie Foster. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O.
