Mrs. Lucille Edwards, 78, died Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Choctaw Residential Center in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 28th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Interment will be in Whitehead Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Edwards was born July 15, 1938, in Neshoba County, MS. She worked at various places, including Spartus, Montgomery Ward, Otasco, and TRW. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Gully Kitchens Breedlove and Andrew Jackson Breedlove; and her siblings, David Anderson Breedlove and Ada Lee Breedlove Moody. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Billy Morris Edwards; her daughter, Monica Lynn Partridge Holmes; her son, Stacy Morris Edwards, all of Louisville; one sister, Ruby Jean Breedlove; one brother, Andy Rudolph Breedlove; 5 grandchildren, Brian Christopher (Amanda) Partridge Holmes, Phillip Edward (Tina) Partridge, Aubrie Blake Edwards, Hailey Marie Wade, and Madelyn Edwards; and great grandchildren, Deven Drake, Lily Grace, and Megan Raylee.
