Dorothy "Dot" Fox

Mrs. Mary Dorothy “Dot” Fox, 84, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 22nd, at Noxapater Methodist Church, with Rev. Dwayne Warren and Rev. Jeff Walton officiating. Interment will be in Noxapater Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Fox was born May 2, 1932, in Kemper County, MS. She was a retired assistant supervisor for Spartus, and a member of Noxapater Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Sherrill Fox; her parents, Genetta Goodin Vandevender and William Tollie Vandevender; and one sister, Shelby Jean Pace. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Rusty) Dooley; and her grandson, Clint Dooley, both of Louisville. Pallbearers will be Clint Dooley, Rusty Dooley, Joel Fox, Gary Gibson, Leo Parker, and Norman White. Memorials may be made to Sta-Home Hospice, 1120 E. Main St #12, Philadelphia, MS 39350.
