Mrs. Frances B. Hill, 88, died Monday, September 19, 2016, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 22nd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hill was born January 14, 1928, in Sturgis, MS. She was retired from retail management. She and her husband and two children lived here in Louisville until 1963 and then moved to Southaven, MS and then to Elliott, MS where they operated a general store for many years. They then retired to Gulfport, MS until their home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. She returned to Louisville and bought a home on Jordan Circle. In 2014, that home was destroyed by the F4 tornado that came through Winston County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hill; her parents, Elsie McKenzie Tooles and John Tooles; three brothers, Robert Tooles, John Tooles, and Vayden Tooles; her son, Clyde Hill; and two infant daughters, Margaret Ann Hill and Marsha Evelyn Hill. She is survived by her daughter, Micki Muir of Louisville, MS; one sister, Evelyn Thomas of Sturgis, MS; two grandchildren, Brooks McLain of Birmingham, AL, and Johnna Royston of Louisville, MS; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
